The Restoration Begins!

"So who's buying the pizza and beer?" (L to R) Stinky, Fuzz, Safety Ed, Tiny, Doc, Rudy the Rat and Grumpy Gus settle the most important aspect of a restoration project: who's getting the refreshments!

One virtue Westenders value is being proactive.  Thus it is no surprise that they are getting started on preparations for Tour di Mari 5 about nine months in advance!  TdiM5 will feature the raffling off of a restored 1974 Vespa Super!  Those of you who were present at Tour di Mari 3: Riding Down to Brighton know how sharp a Westenders restoration is, so this will probably be a real hot item come next July! Breaking News! Tour di Mari 5 Raffle Scooter!

It’s not too early to mark your calendars and clear your schedule!  Westenders Tour di Mari 5 will be happening July 20 – 22, 2012.  Like the four TdiMs before it, Tour di Mari 5 will feature great rides, food, music and fun!  But since this is a milestone year for our annual rally, we’re making it that much more special by restoring a vintage Vespa and raffling it off to a lucky winner!  This time we will be giving away a beautiful restored 1974 Vespa Super!  If you thought the P200 we gave away at Westenders Tour di Mari 3: Riding Down to Brighton was awesome, wait until you see this when we get done with it!

Tour di Mari 5 will have a ‘Secret Agent’ theme to it, celebrating the great spies of the late 50s to early 70s.  We’re talking the hip, cool vibe that made James Bond, Our Man Flint, Man from/Girl from U.N.C.L.E., Modesty Blaise, Danger Man, Matt Helm, etc. so much fun!  And a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Greater Northwest Chapter of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society!
