As a new year approaches, we take time to reflect on the past year. 2009 was definitely a year of challenge for the World, the Nation, and for our own community. Many of us are dealing with tighter budgets, and we had to say goodbye to a dear friend. And yet there was also much to be thankful for in 2009. The Westenders SC continues to be one of Seattle's largest and most active clubs. Tour di Mari 2 was a huge success, and "Tour di Mari 3: Riding Down to Brighton" promises to be an excellent event on the 2010 rally schedule.
We also enjoyed a fairly safe riding year, with only a few minor spills and no injuries to speak of. We hope for an even better safety record in the coming year. Several of our members also acquired some really sweet rides, and surely 2010 will see more fine looking scoots sporting the distinctive Westenders logo.
The Westenders Scooter Club thanks all our friends for their help and support in 2009. We wish you the best of the Holiday season, and offer our fondest wishes for a healthy, safe, and prosperous 2010.
