WHAT: Seattle Derby Brats "It's About Time" roller derby bout!
WHEN: Sunday, September 13, doors open at 5pm, 1st bout at 6.
WHERE: Lynwood Bowl & Skate, 6210 200th Street SW, Lynwood.
WHAT'S HAPPENING?: Forget what you thought you knew about Roller Derby. Nothing seedy about this! In the last few years, Roller Derby has experienced a revival as both women and men have discovered this exciting sport. It's great fun to see educated professionals put on skates, helmets and pads, sport garish makeup and adopt fearsome time names like the "Sockit Wenches", and skate around the rink indulging in good clean fun! The Seattle Derby Brats provides a means that young girls acquire confidence and skill while learning about teamwork and leadership!
And best of all, Westender Angela's daughter will be taking part! Please come out and cheer her and her fellow Brats on!
