Last weekend was the annual Festa Italiana at Seattle Center. Festa Italiana is a weekend-long celebration of Italian music, cusine, and culture. This was the fourth year the Westenders were in attendance, and a great time was had by all!
This year, we had contingents attend both days, since many of our number wanted to be able to participate in the annual "Oyster Run" up north. While our daily displays were smaller than in previous years, Festagoers were able to view our scooters all weekend!
While we were there, we enjoyed traditional Italian music, delicious food, and of course, great Italian wine! Wile E. Coyote chose this event to debut her beautiful new scooter:
Wile E's new scoot, an Aprilia Mojito Custom, was found on Craigslist by Anita, who wasted no time cluing her friend to it's existence. A skilled negotiator, Wile E. was able to purchase this rare (and getting rarer) modern classic at a bargain price! While this design has been heavily 'cloned' by various Chinese manufacturers, the Italian-built Aprilias were far and away the best, and increasingly hard to find! Now the Westenders boast two of these beautifully styled retro scoots in their fleet along with Randito's!
