Cafe Revo: The Scooterist's Hangout!
One of the upsides of having the honor of being the Westenders SC prime minister is being able to use this forum to wax eloquently (???) on scootering subjects. Spring is in the air, and a scooterists' thoughts turn to romance and scooting, so grant me license as I raise the question of "What Would Sophia Ride?"
Was today a day for the books or what? I saddled up 'Luciana' and scouted locations for various Tour di Mari events (mark your calendars: the Westenders annual rally, Tour di Mari 2, presented by Valley Scooters.net, is coming August 7-9. Don't miss the rideouts, food, friends, fun and prizes galore!), and stopped by Cafe Revo. They put fun quotes on each new batch of cocktail napkins, and here was the latest: "Everything you see, I owe to spaghetti" - Sophia Loren
Let's face it: if you think Italy and romance, thoughts of Sophia Loren can't be far behind! As I sat and sipped my Vodka Negroni, I mused on WWSR: What Would Sophia Ride? Would she be a VespaGirl (sorry Shannon!) or a Lambretta Lady?
Here are my arguments for each:
Vespa: Like SL, curvey and sexy: both Italian icons!
Lambretta: High performing, cutting edge styling, and the possibilty of being 'high maintainance'.
So, what do you think? Coke or Pepsi, Taste Great or Less Filling, Vespa or Lambretta?

The Face of Italia: Sophia Loren

In this corner, the Vespa GS150!

And in this corner, the Lambretta SX200!
Sorry, sun, scootering, and Cafe Revo's Negronis will do this to a man!
