The West Seattle Art Walk is a delightful community event that happens every second Thursday. Last month, many Westenders turned out to attend the exhibition of the selected works of Northwest artist (and fellow Westender) Jett, and now it's time to do it again!
This month, Hairy LaPinch's Styling Studio is showcasing the art of Westender Katt's roomate, Victoria VanBruinisse (you may remember her from Operation 'Almost Famous')! Victoria is a noted photographer whose work covers many different areas, from nature subjects to character studies of noted rock musicians. Her work is quite clever; a seemingly ordinary landscape shot like the one above becomes a conundrum as one starts to wonder what the story is behind the image, like the one featured. Her work reminds us to stop and carefully contemplate the world around us, lest we miss the interesting details.
