This class will cover the basics of how a carburetor works, parts identification, what the parts do, how to clean and adjust them and to diagnose problems. We will also cover the differences of the carburetors on the 2 and 4-stroke engine. Time allowed we may even cover a bit on the fuel injected models.

We will experience what we learn by taking a volunteer demo bike carburetor apart, cleaning it, putting it back together and review what basic tools are needed for this job.
We can expect a few tips on keeping your scooter in good running condition and time will allow for Questions and Answers.

The class will be lead by Dave Rookaird. Dave is the service manager at Eastside MotoSports and has been wrenching on bikes for 25+ years. Dave has also been teaching the evening "Motorcycle Mechanics" class at Lake Washington Tech for 6+ years.

The class size will be limited to a maximum of 25 students and registration will be handled on a first come first served basis. Cancellations may be made in writing no later than 24 hrs before class time. Refunds will be given with proper notice of cancellation. Once class has started no refunds are given. This ensures that space is available for those who can come. In case the class is full you can be put on a waiting list.
