A-Bowling We Did Go!

At the first Inter-club bowling tournament, there were some REALLY interesting styles of bowling seen!

The whole idea began, as most ideas begin, with a conversation over a pint.

At our joint Club ride on Vashon Island last November, someone mentioned that it would be fun to get scooter clubs together for a fun bowling tournament.  It would be something neat to do while the weather was poor.  Needless to say, great ideas don’t need a lot of prompting to be turned into action, and so last Sunday, the Westenders hosted the F-Yeah SC and the Firkin SC from Tacoma for what will be the first of many quarterly interclub bowling tournaments.

    Description: This is the first of hopefully many inter-club bowling challenges!

    The Rules:

    1) Each club field one or more 4-person teams. Each team would then total up their scores from the games they play (one or two games or?).

    2) Play will be at the West Seattle Bowl. Westenders have reserved 3 lanes.

    3) Besides the actual teams competing, others can bowl for fun in other lanes, or just hang out and cheer everyone on.

    4) On the actual competition teams, it is requested that only actual members of the 3 clubs compete; no spouses, boy/girlfriends, or other ringers.

      Description: Rain or shine! Shake off those winter doldrums and come hang out with your scooter peeps for pints, dollar tacos, pool! This week Westender Rudy the Rat’s band, The $5 Band will be playing. All scooterists welcome! 7-10pm

      The band will include many new covers mixed in with the traditional favorites and plan to introduce new arrangements, too! If that isn’t enough to draw you in, consider the Alki Tavern will also be offering their hugely popular Taco Thursday where you can build your own monster taco for just a buck!

      Just imagine, hanging with the Westies; grooving with the Five Buck Band; chowin’ down Dollar Tacos and takin’ in a Million Dollar View! That is one exciting night of entertainment that no one can afford to miss! Look forward to seeing you all there!
